چکیده

Using the Singwi–Tosi–Land–Sjolander theory, we have studied the many-body effects in the two-dimensional electron gas with arbitrary polarization at finite temperatures. We have calculated the structure factors, pair correlation functions, local-field factors and the Helmholtz free energy for different values of spin polarization, temperature and density parameter. We have shown that the spin polarization and finite temperature effects are remarkable and in the low-temperature or paramagnetic case our results match closely with those obtained in earlier papers. r 2007 Elsevier B.V. The Effect of Exchange-Correlation Holes on the Temperature Dependent Dynamic Dielectric Function of Single-Layer Quantum Wells and Coupled Nanolayers

In this paper, for the first time we have studied theoretically the effect of exchange-correlation holes around electrons in GaAlAs/GaAs/GaAlAs nanostructure on the temperature-dependent dynamic dielectric function of two-dimensional electron gas by employing random phase, STLS and Hubbard approximations. Also, we have investigated another interesting system which is coupled quantum wells struc...

Local Field Correction Effect on Dicluster Stopping Power in a Strongly Coupled Two-Dimensional Electron Gas System

We calculate the stopping power for heavy-ion diclusters moving in a strongly coupled two-dimensional electron gas system by using the local field corrected dielectric function at finite temperature. We obtain a parameterized local field correction factor based on a relation between the thermal compressibility and exchange-correlation energy in two-dimension. The interpolated parameter is deriv...

Spin and temperature dependent study of exchange and correlation in thick two-dimensional electron layers

The exchange and correlation Exc of strongly correlated electrons in two-dimensional 2D layers of finite width are studied as a function of the density parameter rs, spin-polarization and the temperature T. We explicitly treat strong-correlation effects via pair-distribution functions, and introduce an equivalent constantdensity approximation CDA applicable to all the inhomogeneous densities en...

Spin-resolved second-order correlation energy of the two-dimensional uniform electron gas

For the two-dimensional electron gas, the exact high-density limit of the correlation energy is evaluated here numerically for all values of the spin polarization. The result is spinresolved into ↑↑, ↑↓, and ↓↓ contributions and parametrized analytically. Interaction-strength interpolation yields a simple model (LSD) for the correlation energy at finite densities. In recent years, two-dimension...

Room-Temperature Spin Memory in Two-Dimensional Electron Gases

Time-resolved Kerr reflectivity of two-dimensional electron gases in II-VI semiconductors provides a direct measure of electron spin precession and relaxation over a temperature range from 4 to 300 kelvin. The introduction of n-type dopants increases the electronic spin lifetimes several orders of magnitude relative to insulating counterparts, a trend that is also observed in doped bulk semicon...
